Maxine's Monthly Roundup - March

April 02, 2020

Well, what a month it's been Absoluters, a new experience for all of us! I have certainly had to learn to ‘just let it go.’

As most of you are aware, we currently operate from home anyway, so there hasn’t been much change for us. However, our amazing customer service ladies Charlotte and Laura are now answering your calls and queries from their homes. Now you won’t hear the office dog Rosie barking in the background - but you will hear the dulcet tones of Charlotte’s lovely children Amy and Charlie, and Laura’s sheep bleating! Back to ‘just let it go’’.

As I’m the ‘mature..ish’ one in my family, I'm quickly learning to turn a blind eye to the things that don’t really matter, like how many times I seem to clean the kitchen, the 10 pairs of muddy trainers by the front door (Rich’s currently leading the way there with 4 pairs, all hideous muddy I may add). Not to mention the ‘bits’ of others around the house; Darcy’s hoodies, Margot’s water bottles, Rich’s half-empty cups of tea and so on.

As I said in my video, we are all in this together and ‘we have got this’ - although at times it may not feel like we have.

We've got this Maxine Laceby Absolute Collagen

Looking back to early March seems like an age away, I spent my birthday weekend in the city I was born in, Bath, and visited the flat I spent my childhood in. It was a poignant moment, reflecting on my humble beginnings and the things that made me, ‘me’. I have always been proud of my roots, and am fully aware that my childhood gave me all the tools I need to make Absolute Collagen the company it is today.

For Mother’s Day, we ran a competition for all women, not just mums but friends, sisters, daughters, wives and aunties. We asked our Absoluters to nominate someone who they felt deserved the gift of Absolute Collagen. We were inundated with the most incredible nominations, so much so we struggled to pick just one, so everyone received a complimentary box of Absolute Collagen instead! So let's all ensure we stay safe and ‘just let it go.’

Maxine Laceby on entrepreneurship

Join my Facebook/Instagram Live on Entrepreneurship

Moving forward to April, you may have noticed we've been going 'live' lots more on social media due to isolation.

Lots of people ask me about starting up a business from home, so I thought I'd give a talk - live on BOTH Facebook and Instagram - all about entrepreneurship. Join me on Monday, 6th April at 3pm.

You can join the event here.
