Maxine’s October Roundup - Team AC’s First Away Day in the Cotswolds!
November 01, 2021
Hi Absoluters - I hope you’re all having a great autumn. All those beautiful sunrises and crisp mornings… I absolutely love it.
Recently, some of Team AC got together for our much-anticipated first ever team away day! We spent time at the Fish in the Cotswolds, a stunning location where we were brilliantly looked after and enjoyed a wonderful couple of days together.
We took part in some great activities; quad biking, cocktail and mocktail making, and painting - to name but a few! And of course, there was lots of laughing, drinking and eating. Rosie was the star guest (of course), and some of us even managed an early morning run up to the top of the Broadway Tower, which she especially enjoyed.
After what seems an age of not getting together to let our hair down, this was a much needed and enjoyable team break. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
Speaking of Team AC, I’m delighted to report that the team has grown yet again! We welcomed new team members Linu, Abbie and Nisha, who will be working across creative, marketing and finance, and have already settled right in with the AC family!
As many of you know, I’m a proud patron of the Prince’s Trust, and recently I was honoured to host not one but two Brilliant Breakfasts as part of their Women Supporting Women initiative - you know me, all in! This incredibly important project is raising money for the vast number of young women disproportionately impacted by the ongoing covid pandemic; the funds raised will help towards the costs of training, education, and employment, helping them get the confidence and skills they need in order to thrive. This is truly something I believe in passionately, and am proud to support.
Both Brilliant Breakfasts were just that - brilliant. The first one was at the Ivy in Birmingham, and I invited along some Absoluters to share in the gorgeous food and wonderful experience. As you know, I love nothing more than connecting with and getting to know our amazing Absoluters, so it was such a special event for so many reasons.
The second one was at Ruckley Grange, Shropshire, and I hosted this along with the fabulous Julie Bates of Peony Flowers - go and check out her flowers, as they’re truly incredible! It was a gorgeous event in a stunning setting, raising funds for such an important cause with women who are as passionate about giving back as I am, and I loved every minute of it!
Now, I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to look ahead to Christmas just a little bit - not least because we’re organising our Team AC Christmas party which promises to be absolutely wonderful, and a chance to celebrate all the milestones of the year. Keep your eyes peeled for more Christmassy content from AC HQ coming your way soon...
But in the meantime, let’s enjoy this gorgeous season together - what do you most love about autumn?
