Maxine Featured on the BBC’s Inside Track
January 20, 2020
I’m thrilled to announce that I was recently featured on the BBC programme, Inside Track.
During the show, I shared my journey from happy stay-at-home mum to CEO, how I started Absolute Collagen, as well as what it’s like to be a female entrepreneur.
It was an amazing opportunity, and I’m so excited to share the interview with you! You can watch it below:
I know that pigs trotters and chicken feet don’t sound like a glamorous start, but it’s how I discovered the magic of collagen and the benefits it has on the body. Fast forward to today, and we’re using the best hydrolysed marine collagen on the market — and providing our drinkable sachets to consumers all around the world.
There are a lot of questions and debates around how and if collagen supplements work. But the main reason I created Absolute Collagen is because I saw the effects collagen had on my body firsthand. Now we have over 1,000 5-star reviews from our #Absoluters. You can read them here.
As I say in the interview, increasing your collagen intake isn't about turning back the clock and delaying the ageing process. We all get older; there’s no stopping it. Instead, I think that it’s about being and feeling the best version of yourself and doing all you can to enhance what we have and who we are. Good skin, beautiful hair, and strong nails are all great, as is feeling good both inside and out. Collagen is a great investment for your overall body supporting your organs, gut health, ligaments, joints and is great for muscle repair.
Watching my business take off and hearing from our happy #Absoluters has been the most incredible journey. I’m dyslexic, I have ADHD, and up until starting this business, I hadn’t worked for 25 years. But that didn’t stop me.
Now, just a few years later, I’m the CEO of one of the UK’s leading collagen supplements which is also one of the fastest-growing direct to consumer brands and I’m speaking to the BBC about my growth as an entrepreneur.
It's a real testament to how one idea can become a massive success — as well as proof that age isn’t a barrier. You can accomplish anything.
