We are so thrilled to reveal that our founder and CEO Maxine has won an award at the 2020 Natwest Everywoman Awards! These prestigious awards, now in their 21st year, celebrate the successes of businesswomen from all walks of life and across all industries, and we are incredibly proud of Maxine for her win. It truly is an amazing way to round off what has been a thoroughly unusual and challenging year.

Maxine was shortlisted alongside some phenomenal fellow female entrepreneurs in the Demeter category, which celebrates women whose businesses are between three and five years old. She wowed the judges with her inspirational story of determination, grit, and resilience in the face of scepticism, sexism and ageism, and impressed them with her assertion that not being taken seriously in business actually worked in her favour, as it allowed her to pass under the radar while she built Absolute Collagen into the powerhouse brand it is today.

Due to Covid 19, the Natwest Everywoman Awards had to be held online in a virtual ceremony, but this didn’t dampen any spirits, and some of the ladies of Team AC gathered with Maxine (virtually, of course!) to cheer her on, learn about the other amazing finalists, and celebrate her win. Donning fascinators and evening wear, it was an awards ceremony with a difference, but Team AC still brought the sparkle!

In her acceptance speech, Maxine thanked all the women who had come before her and laid the path for female entrepreneurs. She also thanked her team and, of course, all the Absoluters! “Everything I do, I do with thousands of women and Absoluters alongside me,” she said. Congratulations Maxine, from all at Team AC!
